Application for Active Membership

Criteria

 

 

 

1.   Must be 18 years of age or older.

2.   General good health (both physical and mental). Provide Dr.’s OK or recent annual physical report. (Less than 1 year old).

3.   Complete fire fighter application

4.   Provide any additional information as deemed necessary.

5.   Provide a 3-year driving record.

6.   Dues paid.

7.   Good moral character.

8.   No felony convictions.

9.   Reside within CVFD jurisdiction.

10. Non-resident of CVFD jurisdiction will be considered on a case by case basis.

11. Complete a 90-day probation period.

 

 

 

ACTIVE:

CVFD definition meaning- CVFD active personnel are on call 24-hours a day; 7-days a week. Active personnel are fire fighters that have been approved by the CVFD Board of Directors.

 

ACTIVE FIRE PERSONNEL:

 

1.   Active fire personnel must be 18 years of age or older.

2.   Active personnel will complete a 90-day probation period.

3.   Approved by the CVFD Board of Directors.

4.   Active personnel should attend as many training events and emergency incidents as possible.

5.   Active personnel will be evaluated on #4 every 6 months.

6.   Personnel failing to meet a reasonable number of trainings and incidents shall be scheduled for a consultation.

7.   Active personnel shall be issued PPE and Pager's as currently available.

8.   When required, a waiting list for personal equipment shall evolve.

9.   Fire Department key will be issued on a case by case basis.

10. Active Personnel will be issued: One (1) CVFD Tee shirt.

Additional Tee shirts: signup rosters posted as needed.

Collared Shirts: signup rosters posted as needed.

Class “A” Uniforms are currently the responsibility of the personnel.

11. Active personnel which have become Inactive shall turn-in all personal CVFD issued equipment.
